Are you looking for an honest and unbiased Motor Club of America review? Looking for answers to your questions, “Is MCA Legit Or a Scam? Would this business opportunity be worth joining?”

My purpose is not to promote MCA but I want to provide you information about their company in order to help your decision whether it’s the right program for you or not. This review is targeted especially for you if you are considering making money with MCA. On YourOnlineRevenue.com we have reviewed more than 300 work from home opportunities so we have a large experience of different options.

Is MCA Legit Or a Scam

As a member of MCA, you could as help with your phone and they have promised to help you on the road.

Motor Club of America Review

Name: Motor Club of America (MCA)

Founded: Founded in 1926 by William W. Green

Type: Road Assistance. Multi-Level Marketing.

Short Review: In my opinion, Motor Club of America is one of the best MLM-opportunities in the world. They have a long 90 years of experience in the industry and many people really enjoy their road assistance services. In addition, joining their system to promote MCA doesn’t cost anything, unlike many other network marketing programs.

If you are going to join, you still need to figure out how to make sales and find new prospects. If you are only doing it offline, you may have a hard time to find new potential members. That’s probably the reason why most MCA sales associates earn less than $100. I highly recommend that you generate leads to your offers through the Internet by following the principles of My #1 Recommended online business training.

What Is Motor Club of America?

Motor Club of America (MCA) is one of the oldest and largest motor clubs in the United States and Canada. They have been around already for more than 9 decades which is a great sign of their success and consistency.

They provide roadside assistance for a monthly membership fee and also an MLM-business opportunity where you can earn money by selling their products and recruiting other people to the system. I don’t understand why they say on their website that it’s not a network marketing business even though we clearly see it is and most people admit it as well.

First, let’s have a look at what are their actual products. Motor Club of America is not a recruiting pyramid scheme where you would just earn money by getting new people to the system. It’s a legitimate company that provides a helpful service for their members.

On their website they have a Bible verse 1 Corinthians 10:31, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” which tells about their strong and healthy values.

Motor Club of America Packages – 3 Options Available

Let me show you a short summary of MCA memberships from their website:

Is MCA Legit Or a Scam

Motor Club of America memberships

The idea with MCA is that a member pays a monthly fee and gets unlimited help. It’s like with Legal Shield MLM-system but in this case, they provide the help for the road while Legal Shield is focused on lawyer services.

There are some cheaper roadside assistance memberships in the U.S. but MCA promises a high quality and guaranteed value for the buck. They offer many services in one package while many of their competitors only concentrate on one or two aspects and that’s why they can provide a cheaper price.

The goal of MCA is to give you a piece of mind when you are on the road. You don’t need to worry about running out of gas or breaking your car because they are always available within a phone call.

How to Make Money with Motor Club of America?

First, you need to become their sales associate which is completely free. This is exceptional for MLM-programs because usually, you have to pay for joining or at least pay a monthly membership fee to remain in the system. Still, I think that most MCA sales associates/affiliates are also members of their road assistance service. Otherwise, it wouldn’t make so much sense to promote it if you aren’t using it even yourself.

You can create an affiliate profile through their website in a few minutes. However, do notice that the opportunity is only available in the North America. If you are living anywhere in the world, you need to look for a better work for home opportunity.

Motor Club of America Compensation Plan

MCA representatives claimed that you can earn $80 for each referral who joins the system through you. In addition, you will earn money from your downlines and their sales as well because it’s a network marketing company.

A great thing with MCA referral program is that they pay you weekly every Friday. You don’t need to pay one month for the paycheck because it comes every week. This is also a clear benefit compared to many other MLM-systems.

Even though they flash the potential of earning +$100,000/year by promoting Motor Club of America you need to keep in mind that only top affiliates in the company are earning such income. On their income disclosure MCA says that average earnings of an associate are less than $100 per year and some people don’t make money with the system at all.

That’s the tough reality of network/affiliate marketing. You need to be willing to put in the work to earn money. In my opinion, they said it well on their website:

Success with MCA results only from hard work, dedication, and leadership.

You will be paid based on the sales and recruit, not for hours unlike in a typical 9-5 job. On the other hand, the earning potential is also much greater than in most normal jobs. In how many jobs could you earn $100,000 per year? Not in many I guess.

=> Learn to Make Big Money Online With This Step-By-Step Training!

In my opinion, MCA compensation plan is simple and easy-to-understand, unlike some other MLM-programs. That’s one reason why I think it falls into the best category of network marketing companies with Tupperware, Avon and other old ones (even though they are working in the same industry).

Motor Club of America Reviews & Complaints

I have read and seen several reviews of Motor Club of America and most of them are positive. One reason is, of course, that they earn money when people join the program through their link so they naturally want to talk positive things about the system.

However, the company is receiving also tons of positive reviews on Better Business Bureau. They have been BBB accredited since 03/21/2017 with the best possible rating A+. Let me show you a few examples of the reviews:

Is MCA Legit Or a Scam

Tanya wrote the review in September of 2017 because she has been greatly satisfied with the company

Is MCA Legit Or a Scam

Jonathan received help from MCA on the road.

Is MCA Legit Or a Scam

James has also received great service from MCA.

These reviews were mainly written from customers’ perspective. Almost all customer reviews on BBB are positive. Of course, there are a few negative ones but can you find me a company that would have 0 negative reviews?

Associates of MCA have written 62 reviews in total with the average rating of 4,6 stars out of 5. That’s pretty impressive. Here is one example:

Is MCA Legit Or a Scam

This person is clearly enjoying MCA business opportunity.

Of course, many people admitted that you need to do the work in order to succeed. This is not a typical 9-5 job where you would get paid for an hour. You need to adopt the mindset of an entrepreneur where you get paid based on the results you provide.

Then I found a few negative reviews of Motor Club of America but it seems that those individuals haven’t really used MCA themselves and shared even some false information on their articles. They just wanted to bash MCA in order to promote their own offer.

Conclusion – Is Motor Club of America Worth It?

To be honest, if I would be living in the U.S., I would definitely consider joining MCA. Their service seems great and you can promote their program online wherever you have a WiFi. Still, I recognize that this opportunity is not for everyone. You can make good money with their program but you need to be willing to put in the work. Money doesn’t drop to your account automatically.

The niche of MCA is pretty targeted compared to many other make money online opportunities: People who use a car in the U.S. and in Canada. There are good and negative things in this. This target group usually has lots of money if we compare on a global scale so it’s easier to sell for them. However, if you want to scale your business worldwide, it’s not possible with MCA.

Canada and US are huge countries so there is still certainly enough prospects. The combined population of Canada and US is around 400 million people. If you have a passion for MCA and you love their products, I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t join their program for free.

If you decide to join Motor Club of America as an associate, I highly recommend following this step-by-step training in order to make leads and sales. With the principles and practical steps of that training, you will be able to drive thousands of leads to your business. I know this from my own and other people’s experience. It really works and helps you to make money online.

Is Primerica a Pyramid Scheme? Average Rep Earned $500/Month

With so many different companies doing shady business and utilizing pyramid schemes, sometimes it can be challenging to find the right information. Today, I review Primerica, “A Main Street Company For Main Street North America” to see if it’s worth it or not. Read on!

Primerica has a long experience in the industry but there has been lots of controversy around the company over the years. That’s why many people are asking, “Is Primerica a Pyramid Scheme?” Or even “Is Primerica a Scam Or Not?”

I will answer all your questions in this article. In addition, I will help you to decide whether their program would be a great business opportunity for you.

Primerica Review

is primerica a pyramid schemeName: Primerica

Founded: 1977

Cost: Varies based on services offered (Life Insurance, Financial Advisement, Etc.). Membership is $99 + $25 monthly charge.

Type: Financial Needs services for families. Network marketing.

Short Review: Primerica is not a pyramid scheme nor a scam. Actually, it has been considered as one of the best (top 50) insurance companies by Forbes Magazine. The reason that you can find tons of negative Primerica reviews on the Internet is mainly that of the unprofessional behavior of some of their sales representatives.

Succeeding with Primerica (or with any other MLM-system) requires tons of work and persistence. You must be interested in insurances, selling and recruiting if you want to succeed. It will take months and years to move up in the pyramid. Most prospects will say, “No” so you need to develop a “hard skin”.

It’s possible to make money with the company but it’s good to keep in mind that less than 5% of all people make any significant money with systems like Primerica. If you are still interested becoming your own boss and making money online, I recommend taking a look at my #1 work from home opportunity.

is primerica a pyramid scheme

Primerica provides many kinds of insurances.

What is Primerica?

Primerica has been providing financial services since 1977. Services include Financial Needs Analysis (FNA), various types of insurance policies, and other financial things such as credit monitoring and management plans. Within these services is a system where customer representatives can take part in the sale of financial products in order to generate income.

Becoming a “Sales Agent” with Primerica is a process in which you are suggested to market towards people of close relation, such as your family and friends. You are required to pay a $25 monthly fee to be a representative and nowadays they have way over 100,000 representatives working for their company.

However, most representatives just come and go. For example, in 2011 244,756 people were recruited to their system. Guess how many of them left? During the same year, 152,901 of representatives dropped in total.

Primerica Products – Insurances and Financial Services

Primerica primarily deals in a wide variety of financial services, in which they offer as products delivered personally by sales representatives. One of the main boasts on their website is offering “Financial Needs Analysis” to families in need. This could involve an analysis of credit, a brief instructional course in family budgeting, or plans to tackle debt or long-term expenses such as a child’s education.

Primerica also offers term life insurance, which is advertised as the “cornerstone” of their business. They claim to be a titan in the insurance industry has been around historically, since 1977. Their policies are focused on banding a family together and providing a personalized customer service experience with an insurance representative.

is primerica a pyramid scheme (2)

Alongside auto and home insurance policies, the company also offers financial services often seen at banks and credit agencies. Your Primerica representative can provide credit reports and “debt-watch” services, as well as plans to prevent future possible identity theft or fraud on your financial accounts.

Overall Primerica offers a large variety of services but the draw of the plan is likely the ability to generate your own living and income through their sales representative program. I find Primerica interesting in a way that I haven’t really seen other insurance systems in MLM-scene. I know tens of nutrition, cosmetics, health and wellness MLMs like Herbalife, Oriflame, LifeVantage and Juice Plus.

Do you know other MLM-programs in the insurance industry?

One of the main aspects of any network marketing system is recruiting. They will always represent this opportunity when you buy their products and sometimes they are very pushy. So, let’s analyze how their system works and if it would be worth joining for you or not.

Primerica Business Opportunity

Primerica services will vary in price depending on your needs and requirements. However, most people are interested in the cost and sustainability of becoming a Primerica sales representative. In order to join, you must pay a one-time $99 fee and subscribe at $25 a month for usage of Primerica’s online support system. In addition to this, you may have to pay International Business Association (IBA) fees where applicable.

Once you have paid these costs, you are entitled to all the services and benefits of being a Primerica Sales Representative. Typically, there is someone above you who provides access to the materials and products you are selling. You will go through their sales training program and receive the necessary materials for making your first Primerica sale.

It’s important to consider that Primerica encourages it’s sales representatives to work through a “warm market” which means close family and friends. This philosophy is in line with Primerica’s advertised notion of being a family-focused company. Your closer relationship with your family and friends along with a mutual want for financial security may help you close the doors quickly on sales of Primerica financial products.

However, if you want to succeed with their program, you need to enlarge your social influence and network. You need to have a constant flow of new prospects in order to grow. I recommend finding new prospects on the Internet because you can reach hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of people daily through your website/social media. Follow the principles of this step-by-step training to learn how you can do it.

Primerica Compensation Plan and Presentation

If you are not yet familiar with their compensation plan and the business opportunity in general, you can have a look at their presentation below. It lasts 1h 25 min in total so you probably don’t want to watch the whole video. They start talking about the compensation plan in around 35 minutes.

Notice that speakers here are highly skilled sales representatives and they try to promote Primerica program for you. Keep that in mind and listen to them with a grain of salt.

In the video, they talk about huge passive income opportunities like $250,000 per year or even more. They talk about fulfilling your dreams and changing your life. That’s typical for network marketing speeches. The cold fact is still that you need to have a certain kind of character to succeed with this kind of program.

The average income on Primerica was less than $5,700 per year in 2010 (I didn’t find the updated information. You can link it in the comments if you have it.) It means less than $500 per month. Then you can reduce the fees and costs. In addition, the top 1% earns easily the biggest share of a cake.

So, most Primerica representatives don’t achieve big earnings. Keep that in mind. If you want to succeed, you need to be exceptional and outwork the rest.

Primerica Reviews and Complaints

In this chapter, I’ll analyze Primerica from two perspectives. I’ll show what people have said and watch it also from a different point of view to give you a more comprehensive picture.

There are various reviews of Primerica’s sales representative position on Glassdoor.com and on other websites. These reviews are mostly approving, but there are a few negative ones on there. Overall, the reviewers tend to think of Primerica as a self-making business opportunity that provides access to products that people want to buy.

However, for insurances aren’t the biggest interest for everyone. I don’t have a big passion for that industry in general. Imagine approaching people on the street and asking how is their life or car insurance. Well, maybe some people have a passion for that but I don’t. 😉

One popular review on Glassdoor describes Primerica as an “opportunity to make your own schedule” and points out the underrated benefit of having access to “professional licensing otherwise unavailable to part-time individuals”. Like many of the positive reviews, he believes the products allow you make large amounts of money quickly due to their expensive nature.

But the question arises, “Does it provide the best value for the customer?” It may make the representative rich but I would rather provide the best value for people around me rather than being a selfish rich person who sells overpriced products.

Another favorable reviewer praises the work environment at Primerica, saying that the positivity and atmosphere of the workplace were unlike any other corporate job they had endured. He also praises the inspirational methods that the higher-ups have used to motivate people to sell. These methods are mostly based on providing for families, which is what Primerica advertises.

Of course, like anything else, Primerica faces negative reviews on Glassdoor as well. One negative reviewer described Primerica as having “immoral business practices”. They also painted a picture of how the company cares about numbers and the financial image of someone rather than families and wellbeing, as they advertise. He seems to have the impression of Primerica being a Pyramid Scheme.

is primerica a scam or not

Primerica is several times accused being a pyramid scheme.

Another negative review describes Primerica as holding “sneaky practices” that will not benefit anyone other than the “most immoral of sales people”. The review (like many other negative ones on the site) points out that Primerica places a huge emphasis on recruitment of more people to work under you, which leads to the notion of a pyramid scheme like many others think.

Conclusion – Is Primerica a Scam Or Not?

It’s true that Primerica extremely concentrates on recruiting new people and building the pyramid. Still, it’s not an illegal pyramid scheme because they provide real products and some value for customers. The system doesn’t solely depend on recruiting.

Financial education is interesting because you, I and everyone in the world deals with money every single day. In that sense, I find Primerica’s niche and subject interesting. But as you may now, I am not a big fan of MLM-programs for several reasons. I don’t especially like the pyramid part of it. Another thing is that they usually provide much more expensive products than similar counterparts.

If you want to succeed with Primerica, you need to be convinced that their products work and have a positive impact on people. In my opinion, it’s not worthwhile to try to make money just for the sake of making money. It’s important to think what kind of value you want to provide for other people. Jim Rohn always said, “You get paid based on the value you bring to the marketplace.”

Primerica is not a scam:

  • They are listed on NYSE (New York Stock Exchange)
  • A+ rating with BBB (Better Business Bureau)
  • The company has been around for 40 years

But as I pointed out above, the success will depend on your effort and persistence. I am not highly convinced about Primerica products so for me it wouldn’t be worth joining at the moment.

I prefer making money online with affiliate marketing. The income potential is even greater than on Primerica and you can promote any products you want. You can learn it as well and I’ll provide my 1-on-1 support/mentoring for all my website visitors. It’s completely free to get started and you’ll get a comprehensive step-by-step training.

Is Tupperware a Pyramid Scheme Or a Life-Changing Program?

Tupperware earns billions of dollars every year in revenue. They have millions of salespeople/distributors all around the world. The company has been around already for ~70 years. Still, many people ask on Google, “Is Tupperware a Pyramid Scheme?”

That’s a reasonable question because their system uses a pyramid form. Those who are on the top (less than 1% of all members) make the most money while most of the people spend more money on this program than they will ever earn.

Is Tupperware a Scam? – Video Review

Before we dive deeper into the article I would like to show you the video review where I answer your questions about Tupperware. I explain why I am not part of Tupperware even though their products are great. In the end of the video I show how you can make money with Tupperware. Enjoy!

Tupperware is one of the most popular network marketing companies in my hometown and even my mother has been involved in the system. I know also some other people who joined this opportunity but I haven’t done it myself.

In this review, I’ll explain why I didn’t join Tupperware and help you to evaluate whether it’s the right program for you or not. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Tupperware Review

Name: Tupperware

Founded: In 1948 by Earl Tupper

Type & Industry: Network Marketing System. Kitchen Industry.

Short Review: Tupperware has high-quality products and a 70-years of experience in the industry. We can honestly say they are one of the industry leaders in what they are doing. However, the other question is whether their program is the right business opportunity for you.

If you love their products, you have a hardworking character and you are persistent, this program may be the right opportunity for you. On the other hand, if you belong to the category of 99% people who fail in Tupperware business, then it’s not worth joining.

I recommend taking a look at my #1 recommended work from home opportunity. You can use that system to promote Tupperware or any other products. I don’t belong to Tupperware but that training has taught how I can make money online even while I’m sleeping.

is tupperware a pyramid scheme

A screenshot from Tupperware homepage gives you already an idea how you could use their products.

What Is Tupperware?

Tupperware is one of the oldest network marketing companies in the world. It was founded already 7 decades ago and now the business has spread all over the world.

Their products are very targeted for a specific niche (market) and they are mostly selling kitchen equipment, plastic containers, and blows. They have become famous for providing so-called “life-time-guarantee”. It means that Tupperware products should never break.

Tupperware wants to brand themselves as a high-quality brand that offers much better than supermarket products. That also explains why their prices are 2-5 times higher than similar products on Walmart or Amazon. You probably also know that usually network marketing systems just have more expensive products. That’s one typical characteristic of the system. I have reviewed almost 100 MLM-systems and there are only a few exceptions to this rule.

What do you think about systems like Amway, Mary Kay, Perfectly Posh, etc? Don’t they have quite expensive products, huh? At least Tupperware is quite unique because I don’t know many other MLM-programs that would solely concentrate on kitchen industry.

Let’s take a quick look at their products. Are they really worth the price?

Tupperware Products – Expensive but High Quality

is tupperware a pyramid scheme

Tupperware Top Sellers

You can quickly notice that prices are higher than in Walmart or another supermarket. You wouldn’t pay $12 for one round container for a normal product. Actually, I just checked on Amazon and realized that you can get 50 round containers for $12.

Anyway, this kind of kitchen stuff usually lasts forever so people don’t care to spend a few extra bucks. That’s probably one reason why Tupperware is doing so well. If you would sell a product that doesn’t last long for $40 while the counterpart costs $20, many people wouldn’t be so interested in buying.

But when you say, “Here’s a Tupperware set. It will last for your whole life. It’s high quality. Do you still want to buy that cheap alternative from Walmart?”

However, around 80% of Tupperware products cost less than $50 in their online store. It means that you need to sell a big volume if you want to be successful or recruit a huge downline. That’s my sincere advice is that you must use and like Tupperware products before you consider joining the program. What’s would be the point of promoting something that you don’t like?

How to Make Money with Tupperware?

First of all, you need to join their program and buy a starting kit. Starting out costs $79-119 depending on which starter kit you want to buy. You’ll get a few of their products when you join. Here’s an example:

is tupperware a pyramid scheme

Tupperware Starter Kit

Then you are ready to get started. You can start selling their products right away. You don’t need to have an inventory of their products. You can just show the catalog to prospects and they can choose which products they want to buy. Then you bring them the products.

Another option (my #1 recommendation) is to sell online when you can reach hundreds, thousands or even millions people through your blog or a social media. This step-by-step training will teach you everything you need to know about reaching people online. I use it myself and reach tens of thousands of people regularly even without meeting them in person. I am not part of Tupperware but you can use same methods to promote Tupperware as well.

Because Tupperware is a network marketing company, you’ll also earn money for recruiting new members into the system. If you really want to make big money with Tupperware or any network marketing company you need to be ready to recruit tons of people. Otherwise earning big money is only a dream.

How Much Money Can You Make with Tupperware?

This short video 2-minute video explains how much commissions you could earn by selling Tupperware products. Notice that it’s a promotional and the lady wants you to join their program. Anyway, it’s still quite informative and simple.

The lady gives an important point. The success with Tupperware eventually depends on you. The more you sell and recruit, the more you will earn. Some people are able to make even millions with this kind of systems. On the other hand, it’s important to remember that +95% of members usually spend more on a starter kit and products than they ever earn in the program.

Tupperware Income Disclosure Statement

Have a look at real earnings of Tupperware consultants in Canada:

is tupperware a pyramid scheme

Notice that very few people earn any money with the system.

Above you can see Tupperware income disclosure statement for 2016  in Canada. It shows quite brutal statistics. Tens of thousands of people don’t earn almost anything. Less than 1% of members make any significant money.

So yes, you can make money with Tupperware like you earn with any other MLM-business. The failure and success depend on you. If you love Tupperware products, you have a hardworking and persistent character you can make a fortune. If you are like most people, you will probably spend more time and money on the products and system than you earn.

My mother bought the starter kit. Made some sales to earn the money back and then quit the program. Her hourly earnings weren’t anything significant with the system. That’s how it goes with any this kind of system. You need to work months and even years until you are getting paid well. It, of course, requires that you have worked hard during those years.

Is Tupperware a Pyramid Scheme?

If only a few people on the top are making big money and the company has a pyramid form, is it a pyramid scheme? Not always. Tupperware provides high-quality products and they don’t solely rely on recruiting. That’s why it can’t be considered as an illegal pyramid scheme.

A pyramid scheme is a system where almost all of your earnings depend on recruiting. In that kind of systems, products don’t have real value and they are just created to hide the pyramid scam.

I’ve heard people accusing Tupperware a pyramid scheme. Some people even said that affiliate marketing is a pyramid scheme (lol!). It only proves that those people haven’t really understood what is a difference between a legal MLM and an illegal pyramid scheme.

Tupperware is much better than most MLM-programs. Otherwise, they couldn’t have lasted for 70 years.

Conclusion – Is Tupperware Worth It?

Even though Tupperware isn’t a pyramid scheme the more important question is whether the system is worth joining or not. Facts and my experience clearly show that most people don’t earn almost any money with the program. Do you belong to that 1% who earn good money with Tupperware?

You need to answer that question yourself. I know that I could succeed with Tupperware but I have other projects at the moment so I need to focus on something and not to spread myself in 10 directions.

Another reason why I don’t join is that I am not a big fan of MLM-programs. I prefer buying the products that have the best price/quality ratio. Tupperware and other MLM-systems have quite a lot of “air” at their prices. Of course, you make more profit as a distributor when prices are expensive but do you provide the best price/quality ratio for your customer?

Anyway, if you have read this far I believe you are interested in making money from home. I have reviewed more than 300 work from home opportunities and Wealthy Affiliate is my #1 recommendation. They offer a step-by-step training that teaches you to earn money even while you are sleeping.

It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme. As I mentioned before, making money requires work and persistence. Still, Wealthy Affiliate provides all tools you need to become successful: Training, community, tools, support and my 1-on-1 mentoring (a bonus for my website readers).

doTERRA Review: Life-Changing Products Or a Pyramid Scheme?

Essential oils, health & wellness, supplements, and nutrition. All these industries have been booming in the last few years and new MLM-companies have been popping up almost every other day. doTERRA is one of them. Maybe one of your friends has recommended their products or the business opportunity for you?

In my doTERRA review, I’ll show you more in detail what kind of products they provide. In addition, I’ll analyze their business opportunity and give my opinion about it. I advise you to read this article carefully and spend the next 1-3 minutes with me. 🙂

NOTE: I am not affiliated with doTERRA so I don’t earn any money for writing this article. The sole purpose is to inform you about their opportunity and to help you to make a good decision.

doTERRA Review

Name: doTERRA

Founded: 2008

Type and Products: MLM Company. Health & Wellness + Essential Oils.

Short Review: doTERRA provides high-quality products but in my opinion, they are massively overpriced. Personally, I prefer using normal products instead of paying the “MLM-extra” for getting these products. However, I know that many people enjoy using doTERRA products and I’m happy for them.

As a business opportunity doTERRA is relatively typical in MLM-scene. Commissions from product sales and downlines. Rewards and bonuses for reaching higher levels.

If you are looking for a way to make money from home, I would rather recommend getting started with this step-by-step training for free.

is doterra a pyramid scheme

doTerra homepage is a very colorful and gives information about essential oils.

What is doTerra?

Founded in Utah back in 2008, doTerra is an MLM company that produces essential oils. doTerra is a Latin term that means ‘gift of the earth.’ doTerra is a multi-level marketing network marketing company.

This means that an individual can make money by selling doTerra products as a retailer or by referring new consultants to partake in DoTerra’s compensation plan. This company now has over two million advocates in almost 100 countries who have already signed up to their MLM system.

You have probably heard of some other similar network marketing companies that are selling essential oils. For example, Melaleuca, Wakaya Perfection, Young Living, etc. The industry has literally exploded in the last few years like you can see in the image later.

doTerra Products

This company rewards representatives who actively promote their essential oils and refer new representatives. Here are some of their products you could promote as a distributor:

  • Essential oils
  • Single Oils
  • Proprietary blends
  • doTerra On Guard Products
  • DoTerra Breathe products
  • Deep Blue Products
  • DigestZen Products

Other products include personal care, supplements, weight management pills, Kits & collections, Healing Hands, and Accessories for Essential Oils such as car diffusers and so much more (Essential oil diffusers disperse the oils as a fine mist in the air, which our bodies then absorb through the respiratory system.)

Essential Oils industry is expanding daily with more people looking for such products to enhance their day to day lives.

Even though doTERRA products are extremely expensive they are enjoying extremely positive reviews on Amazon. There are thousands of customer reviews on their products. Over and over again, customers give them a 4- or 5-star rating on a scale from 1 to 5 stars.

doTERRA promises a lot of health benefits ranging from:

Essential Oils and Aromatherapy – Do the Products Really Work?

Essential Oils therapy, commonly known as Aromatherapy has been in practice since the beginning of the century. Essential Oil therapy uses plant’s aroma-producing oils that help support overall health and well-being of an individual. These oils are derived from plant’s leaves, stalks, bark, flowers, or roots which are mixed with denser substances such as lotion, alcohol, or oil then put on the skin or sprayed in the air to be inhaled. The oils can also be massaged into the skin or poured into bath water.

These essential oils then interact with your body’s hormones and enzymes causing changes in our body’s functions. Our sense of smell is so powerful that it has a significant impact on our feelings. Depending on the types of oil used the fragrances from the oils sends impulses to the part of the brain that controls memory and emotions, relieving stress and promoting calmness and relaxation.

According to WebMD.com, aromatherapy is the fastest growing area of complementary medicine in the United States. However, remember that aromatherapy can’t replace the current medication because it does not cure major illnesses.

Aromatherapy is also a controversial subject. Some people say it doesn’t really work. What is your opinion about it?

Some people love DoTerra’s essential oils but definitely not all. They are said to protect individuals from infectious diseases, help cure restlessness, stuffy noses, colds, and even uplift moods. On the other hand, many customers report that products aren’t better than their 5 times cheaper counterparts on Walmart or Amazon.

Anyway, if you want to join doTERRA, you must have first-hand experience of their positive effects. Otherwise, it wouldn’t really make sense to promote their products. Let’s take a look how you could make money with their system and how much people are really earning.

How to Make Money on doTERRA?

To become a consultant for doTERRA, a new specialist will need to pay a registration fee that will give you access to all their products at a wholesale price of 25% below retail price. doTERRA offers kits ranging from $150 always up to $2,500 (wholesale price).

is doterra a pyramid scheme

Different doTERRA Packages

Once this fee is paid, you’ll have a few ways to make money:

  1. Becoming a distributor for Doterra products and sell them at retail price.
  2. Refer new distributors and earn a commission on all of their sales.
  3. Make money through their reward programs and bonuses.

Their marketing videos naturally show you pictures of smiling people who say, “doTERRA changed my life. I am so happy about this opportunity. I never believed I could live a life like this.” You know these MLM-stories, don’t you? 😉

According to studies conducted, +95% of doTERRA advocates earn less than $10,000 annually. This means that only 1% make more than $200 per week in commissions for doTERRA.

Almost nobody who joined doTERRA as an advocate was able to generate an income equivalent to a full-time income. For those who sign up for business, it’ll be tricky for you to earn as much as you’d expect per year. Overall, it’s clear that doTERRA members receive less than a full-time income.

Of course, there is always that 1% on the top who make a big income. But as I always say, it doesn’t tell about the quality of this system but more about the quality of their character. You can succeed in almost any business if you have a hard-working and a persistent character. The following graph shows the earnings of doTERRA leaders.

is doterra a pyramid scheme

doTERRA leaders make good money but only 0,5% of all members end up in this category.

Then you just need to choose the products and industry that you love. If you think it’s not so easy, I recommend taking a look at this opportunity. I’ll ask you again after a year or two because I’m sure you’ll succeed if you follow that step-by-step training. 😉

DoTerra Compensation Plan

When you order your doTERRA products to sell on a monthly basis, you will earn reward credits. You can make up to 30% of product value back as product credits. For example; if you purchase $100 worth of wellness products and you’ve shown repeated loyalty to the program, you’ll receive 30 credits that you can use to buy other available products.

Other bonuses such as Founders’ Club are available for the elite consultants. This club is exclusive to those individuals who have made it into the top 25 product consultants in their countries or region. If you manage to make it into the Founders Club, then you shall be eligible to earn more bonuses by making a share of the total market sales volume. This means that you’ll be potentially earning more rewards than everyone else.

This video explains their compensation plan more in detail with simple terms. The video pretty enticing and encouraging but notice that it’s created by doTERRA team and contains promotional material.

The most profitable way of making money on doTERRA is recruiting lots of people to your downline. Then you can earn passive income when your team members are making sales.

Conclusion – Is doTERRA Worth It?

If you want to earn real money, then you must be ready to buy tons of their products and sell them on market value plus recruit a lot of advocates that will sell their products as well. This way, you’ll be able to earn a percent from all your sales plus a few bucks from your advocate’s sales. (And this “few bucks” can grow quite high if you are a persistent recruiter.)

My recommendation is that you join doTERRA only if you love using their products. When you have first convinced yourself you can then convince others as well. But if you are not sure about the effectiveness of their products I don’t see any reason why you would join their system.

Making money with doTERRA or any business requires tons of efforts. Success doesn’t happen overnight but after repeating successful actions day in and day out.

I know from my own experience that earning a living from home is exciting but also requires discipline. Still, it’s possible for anyone (especially for you). This step-by-step training taught me how to make money online at home or even while I’m traveling.

I’m sure it will help you as well. In addition, I offer my 1-on-1 support all the way until you succeed. Notice that this training is not a MLM-system and it doesn’t cost anything to get started.

Is AdvoCare a Pyramid Scheme? – 70% of Members Earn Nothing!

“Change your physique. Change your financial life. Live your dreams!” Doesn’t it sound like a typical mantra for a multi-level marketing (MLM) system?

Is AdvoCare a Pyramid Scheme or a great business opportunity to really change your life? Have some of your friends invited you to their event or a party? Are you considering joining this program?

In this article, I am going to show you how their system works and whether it’s really worth it or not. Spend the next 1-3 minutes with me when we evaluate this business opportunity.

AdvoCare Review

is advocare a pyramid schemeName: AdvoCare

Founded: 1993

Cost to Get Started: $79

Type: Health and Wellness MLM Company

Short Review: In my opinion, AdvoCare is an archetype of a MLM-program. They are working in an extremely popular supplement industry and most of their distributors fail. Actually, more than 70% of their members earn nothing. In addition, it’s promoted by some professional fitness athletes which are also a familiar concept from other similar systems.

Personally, I don’t find this opportunity very interesting. But if you truly enjoy their products and you have a highly disciplined character, you have chances to succeed with their system. However, I think the success, in this case, doesn’t depend on the greatness of the product but on your own character

If you are looking for more interesting opportunities, feel free to have a look at my #1 recommendation for making money online.

What is AdvoCare MLM Business Opportunity?

AdvoCare is an MLM company that specializes in distributing health and wellness products. This system, founded in 1993, basically markets health supplements for people as well as even programs designed to help people lose weight, achieve better energy levels, the good mental focus among other things.

In the other words, AdvoCare is in a typical network marketing field: Nutrition supplements. You have probably heard of similar programs like Herbalife, LifeVantage or many other. As far as I know, there are hundreds of MLM-programs in the nutrition industry and new companies pop up almost every day.

AdvoCare has become famous because it’s sponsoring lots of famous athletes. You may have seen their logos and ads in sports events. Let’s take a look at their products more in detail.

AdvoCare Products

is advocare a pyramid scheme

This company has quite a number of products which cover weight loss, body cleansing, nutrition and more things. These are the main categories of products AdvoCare offers:

24-day challenge

The 24-day challenge is designed to help in getting the body cleansed. With this 24 day challenge, all the impurities of the body are removed within 10 days in a process that lasts for this period. After the 10 day process, there is another phase that runs through the 11th day to the 24th day. This phase is called the “max phase” and introduces the nutrients which the body needs into the body. This will help to boost energy levels, appetite control as well as core nutrition.

At the moment the price of a 24-day challenge on Amazon is $219,99. You can have a look at the customer reviews yourself. Some people were greatly satisfied with results but it seems that the product isn’t very special itself. However, buying this kind of 24-day challenge can give you the motivation to change your lifestyle and eating habits.

Other Products:

  • Virtual Coach; a calendar which provides an outline of products which need to be taken at specific times of the day.
  • Active: This product line is designed to enable an increase in energy, hydration as well as mental focus.
  • Performance elite: This one is a line of supplements designed to help athletes.
  • Trim: Here, you have a product line designed to help in the loss of weight.
  • Well: This product line is designed to bring solutions to conditions like stress and enable mental capacity as well as mental focus.
is advocare a pyramid scheme

AdvoCare offers also meal replacements.

There is quite a lot of competition, with the sales of these products. This is because products designed for weight loss and nutrition are quite really common and can be found just about anywhere. And this is to the extent that the potency of some of these products has even become questionable.

Additionally, there is a specified monthly sales requirement which you must hit to be able to keep being an active member of this system.

How Much Does It Cost to Join AdvoCare?

At the beginning, AdvoCare costs 79 dollars and then a shipping fee of 7.45 dollars. After this first time, AdvoCare will cost you 50 dollars every other year apart from the shipping fee you will have to pay. After you have joined the system as a business builder, you can begin to buy the products at the discounted rate of 20% after which you do not need to do anything else. As you purchase more products and gain new people to enroll under you, the discounts you get will increase.

The fact is that most people who join MLM-systems pay much more for the products than they ever earn from the system. One option would be not to buy their products at all. But why would you promote products for other people if you wouldn’t use them yourself?

AdvoCare Compensation Plan

The AdvoCare MLM Business Opportunity comes with a plan for compensation which is explained in the video below.

Note: The video is promotional because it’s created by AdvoCare team member.

Generally, the system offers retail profits, wholesale commissions, incentives, AdvoCare overrides and leadership bonuses like any other MLM-program. In AdvoCare, there are six levels known as silver, gold, ruby, emerald, diamond, and platinum. The higher you go with these levels, the more bonus opportunities you can begin to take advantage of. With this compensation plan, you are simply offered an opportunity to earn money by selling the AdvoCare products to others and recruiting new people into the system.

AdvoCare Reviews and Complaints

Quite a number of people have complained about the possibility of AdvoCare bringing in sustainable income. Truth is, only a small number of people who belong to this system has been known to achieve significant success. This may especially be because you would have to keep scouting for people to recruit. And then you have to keep keeping your fingers crossed for these people to keep recruiting other people. Your success in this system depends basically on this.

Of course, you can make money by selling their products but this requires that you have a large audience.

Here, your fate will mostly depend on people who you do not know. This is because while you may know the people who are you direct recruits, you will most likely not know the people recruited by your recruits. Therefore, you will mostly have to just rely on the hope that these people will work hard so that you can earn your income. Regardless, others who fan the system have insisted that it can a lot of success if you work hard.

About the products, we can also say the same thing. Some customers have insisted that the products are ineffective and a waste of money. Others have testified to how great and effective the products are. We can, therefore, probably say that results vary from person to person with these products and even with the business when you are working as a distributor.

The largest part of your success will depend on your sales and efforts but in my opinion, AdvoCare is not one of the best MLM-opportunities.

is advocare a pyramid scheme

Holly Evans gave Advocare only 1 start out of 5.

Most people have also insisted that it does not work because of the monthly sales requirement which you have to meet. This means that you will be compelled to spend a lot of money buying products on a monthly basis in order to keep up with the demand. Now, what happens when you cannot meet this monthly demand?

Lawsuit Against AdvoCare – Is AdvoCare a Pyramid Scheme?

AdvoCare has been accused of being a pyramid scheme which uses the sales of products to cover up what it is. This is obviously due to the fact that members have to recruit other people who need to recruit other people to join. And growth in this business mostly depends on this system of recruiting which determines how much income you will be making. Some say that’s why AdvoCare can be regarded as a product based pyramid scheme.

In 2015 more than 95 percent of their distributors paid more for the company that they received from it. More than 70 percent didn’t make any money even though they joined the system. The most earnings go to the top 1-3%. Of course, this kind of numbers are pretty typical for MLM-programs but it seems that the statistics are even more “brutal” in AdvoCare than in the other ones.

One interesting detail that you would like to know is that AdvoCare is not Better Business Bureau accredited. Do you know why not?

is advocare a pyramid scheme

AdvoCare on Better Business Bureau.

Conclusion – Is AdvoCare Worth It?

In my eyes, AdvoCare doesn’t seem an exciting opportunity. There are tons of competitors in the nutrition industry and this one doesn’t seem very unique. In addition, their products are so expensive that I personally prefer using cheaper ones.

However, I personally use fitness supplements and find this industry interesting. I may consider making money on this industry in the future. I know and I utilize a great strategy on how to earn money online in every industry. It goes like this:

1.Choose your interest (For example, nutrition supplements.)
2.Build a basic website. (It’s possible in 30 seconds without any former experience.)
3.Drive traffic from Google and social media
4.Earn revenue. (Leave links to products. When people click your links and buy, you’ll get paid.)

I use this exact step-by-step method to make a living online. You can use the same method as well. I have also many friends who use to earn a living online in niches like, craft beer, fitness, kettlebell training, supplements, language learning, mom stuff and much more. The best thing is that it works in any niche.

Is Pampered Chef a Pyramid Scheme Or a Unique Opportunity?

Are you interested in Pampered Chef? Perhaps you have been looking for a review which will help you come to the right conclusion. I am in no way affiliated with this system, therefore I will tell you what it is, their products, compensation and what you should expect when you join.

Some people were also asking, “Is Pampered Chef a pyramid scheme?” and “Is Pampered Chef a scam?” You will also get an answer to these questions in the next 1-3 minutes.

I have organized meals for several 20-50-person camps that lasted 3-7 days. In addition, I have been cooking for events of more than 100 people. I am not a professional chef but I like cooking and in my opinion, it’s a relaxing activity. So, Pampered Chef cooking is an interesting subject for me even though recently I have preferred eating outside to save some time.

Let’s get started and get to know if this is a really good business opportunity.

Pampered Chef Review

Name: Pampered Chef
Founded: 1980 by Doris Christopher, in 2002, it was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway
Cost: price ranges from $99 or $159.
Type: Cooking/Cookware MLM (multi-level marketing)

Short review: There are several MLM systems, but this particular one is unique since it deals with cooking wares. For people who love to cook or bake, the pampered chef offers several cooking wares, kitchen accessories, bakeware, food products, and cookbooks. These products are sold by the system consultants at different startup prices. If you have a complete understanding of MLM system and you are very hardworking, you have an opportunity to succeed.

Whether you are interested in MLM-programs or not, I recommend checking out this step-by-step training to make a living online. I have used it myself and it works like a charm. You can use those principles in promoting other people’s or your own products. The great thing is that you can do it all from the comfort of your own home (or while you are traveling around the world like I’m doing).

Pampered Chef Homepage

What Is Pampered Chef?

The pampered chef company started in 1980 by Doris Christopher. It sold different cookware, food products and cookbooks. In the year 2002, Berkshire Hathaway purchased the company. For me, it’s a great positive sign about the company if Berkshire Hathaway has bought it. It’s one of the biggest companies on Earth which is lead by the second richest person on the planet. If he sees potential in Pampered Chef, it can’t be a scam.

The pampered chef is also an MLM company. It has consultants who sell their products and this can be any private individual. They sell the products at craft fairs, online websites, and house parties. I am not a big fan of MLM-programs but I would prefer selling products online because then you can reach tens of thousands or even millions of people from the comfort of your own home. If you don’t know how to start promoting this kind of products online, I can help you hand by hand.

On the other hand, I know that some people are more interested in a personal interaction with prospects. Then you will be arranging home parties regularly and keep presentations about the opportunity and Pampered Chef products. Let’s have a look what they offer.

Pampered Chef Products

You may not be aware of this, but many companies have similar products and offer similar services like the Pampered Chef. The competition between these MLM companies is immense. Most of the other companies offer bad services and do not deliver their promise.

The products found on the pampered chef website are displayed nicely. It is not just a cooking website, it is a business opportunity, you should know that even if you are interested in the MLM system of the company, a lot of persons are not. They are just interested in the products, are they good or not?

The information of the products on the pampered chef homepage is well laid out making it easy for new contractors to navigate through especially during their first sale. As far as this Kitchen MLM company is concerned, they do better in displaying their products than every other Kitchen MLM companies I have reviewed. You can also have a look at their products and customer reviews more in detail on Amazon.

Here is a highlight of the products which are sold

Cooking wares

  • Large Micro cooker for Microwave
  • Nylon Pan Scrapers Set of 3
  • Mini Tart Shaper
  • Parmesan-Garlic Oil Dipping Seasoning
  • Celebrate Celebration Gift Boxed Serving Plate
  • Teriyaki Sauce with Honey

These are 3 new products by Pampered Chef.

Food items

  • Cherry Balsamic Vinegar
  • Gluten-free flour
  • Rosemary-infused canola oil
  • Spicy Pineapple Rum Sauce
  • Cinnamon plus Spice Blend
  • Peppercorn Medley
is pampered chef a pyramid scheme

Pampered Chef vinegar and 2 different sauces

From the list above, you can see that pampered chef, does more than cooking and baking wares, it also incorporates the latest food trends. On the website, you will find a notice which says that all the meals are gluten-free. They are seasoning blends, vanilla extract and all different flavors, rubs and anything unique you require.

After seeing their products we can already say it’s not an illegal pyramid scheme that only focuses on recruiting. Every MLM-program uses the pyramid form but we still don’t call it officially a pyramid scheme unless they only make money by recruiting new members into their program. Some people call Herbalife, Amway, Pampered Chef and other MLM-programs pyramid schemes but they don’t exactly fulfill the definition.

How Much Does It Cost to Join The Pampered Chef?

To join the pampered chef MLM business you need to purchase a starter kit. There are 3 sizes of price range from $109- $249. When you purchase a kit, you get different kitchen cookware, bakeware, and accessories. The company attaches brochures, sales receipts, catalogs, thank you card etc. if you don’t have up to that amount, the company offers Host credits to its contestants to host a party. This can give you a discount of $50 from your starter kit.

is pampered chef a pyramid scheme

3 different options to get started with Pampered Chef.

Notice the marketing trick that they are using here with these kits. For example, Ultimate Kit costs $249 and they say the real value is over $1,000. That’s BS. The real value really isn’t over $1,000 even though it’s a nice package. That’s just a typical marketing trick. Anyway, at least starting is much cheaper than in MLM-programs like LuLaRoe.

Pampered Chef Compensation Plan

As a Pampered Chef consultant, you have different options when it comes to marketing. You can either create a website to promote your product for a fee of $10. Or you can advertise online on different platforms. As a consultant, you earn 20-25% commissions when you sell your products to others. For every individual you recruit, you earn 3% bonus commission. As earlier said, as a host, you can get products at a discount of $50. When you become an expert you procure commission. They are free incentives like travel openings, training seminars, etc.

On registering and buying one of the starter units, you become a consultant. From the beginning, there are 9 consultant rank levels. The Pampered Chef also offers incidental promos to its consultants. When you build a strong group by bringing in more consultants under you, the more commissions you earn. The pampered chef gives a consultant the first 90 days to recruit. This is a free way ticket to participate in the fast track to become a director program. They could also win $2000 in reward pay. There is a 30-day money back guarantee, just in case you change your mind.

In this video I quickly explain the most important details of the compensation plan and what it really requires to make a living with Pampered Chef:

Pampered Chef  Reviews & Complaints

There is always a good side and bad side to every MLM system. I haven’t reviewed any MLM system that is all clean. Well, the pampered Chef looks like it has more good than bad.

Pampered Chef has a broad market base. There are several products which can be used for any kind of cooking and by anyone. You can also sell your products in person by hosting parties or online. The products are of high quality and guarantees to be used for a lifetime.
A lot of person like the pampered chef products because they are stable. It has been around for a very long time. It makes them feel the MLM company is here to stay for a long time and not dash off with their money.

Consultants were happy because delivery is hassle-free as the products are delivered to their customers by the company. The bad reviews on this company, had to do with the price, as new consultants felt it was at the upper side. The commissions they get afterward do not match what they paid for. Other consultants complained that the products are available on Amazon, eBay, and other online stores. This made it difficult to sell to their target market.

Conclusion – Is Pampered Chef Worth It?

I have used $10 and $150 frying pans and anything in between. Was a $150-frying pan 15 times better than a $10 pan? No, it wasn’t. When I buy a pan to my home I usually prefer buying one of the cheapest options. It may last a bit less than the most expensive one but I save a significant amount of money in the long run.

Pampered Chef products are on the upper end of a pricing scale. There is that typical “MLM-extra” in their pricing. It’s the bonus that you need to pay their distributors when they sell the product for you. That’s why I personally prefer usually buying my products from the local supermarket or Amazon instead of directly from MLM-distributors.

If you love Pampered Chef products and you are passionate about the subject, their MLM-opportunity may be a great choice for you. I want to remind that succeeding with network marketing companies requires hard work. +95% of the distributors fail and don’t earn almost anything. You need to be better than the most but it’s definitely possible.

Also, before starting out I recommend that you consider the marketing strategy that you’re going to use to sell their products and recruit new members. You can arrange one party for your family and friends but they don’t want to hear the same presentation every week.

If you want to reach thousands and even millions of people online, just follow this step-by-step training. I use it and every single day I reach hundreds or thousands of new people online. The system does the hard lifting for me once I have set up everything first. This allows you to earn passive income as well.

Is LuLaRoe a Pyramid Scheme Or Easy Money by Selling Clothes?

Are you wondering if LuLaRoe is a pyramid scheme? Then you have stumbled on the right page. I am going to review this opportunity and give you my own understanding of what this system does.

I will be honest in my review and I am in no way affiliated with this scheme. This review will cover what the LuLaRoe MLM-program is all about, its products and how to join.

If you have any questions about their program (or earning money from home in general), do well to drop them in the comment section.

LuLaRoe Review

Name: LuLaRoe

Founded: 2012

Cost: $5,000 – $10,000 On Boarding Package

Founder: Deanne Brady & Mark Stidham

Type: Fashion MLM-System

Short Review: LuLaRoe is a unique MLM-business because there aren’t much similar fashion business in the MLM scene. Their founders have an interesting and inspiring idea behind the company.

However, it’s expensive to get started with their program (+$5,000) and it requires tons of hard work to succeed. It isn’t easy to earn passive income with their system like other business models. You have to recruit lots of new members in order to make a big income.

If you are interested in earning money from home, have a look at my #1 recommendation to make money online program. I have used it myself and it works great. You don’t need any initial investments or even your credit card to get started. Their premium membership is less than $1 per day which makes it very cheap. Still, it can help you to make a life-changing income.

is lularoe a pyramid scheme

LuLaRoe homepage shows that their system is clearly targeted for women.

What Is LuLaRoe?

LuLaRoe is a multi-level program which sells women’s clothing. This company is based in the United States. Its founders first started this business in 2012 when they first produced skirts for their daughters and their friends. The company is only 5 years old which means it’s relatively new compared to older MLM-programs like Avon or Amway.

Since then, the LuLaRoe has grown from 20 to over 2,000 distributors. The company experienced a fast growth in 2016 where they made sales which exceeded US$1 billion. That all came to a standstill in early 2017 when LuLaRoe faced a class action lawsuit.

In this video the co-founder of LuLaRoe DeAnne Stidham explains the story and vision behind the company:

LuLaRoe Products – Clothes for Women and Children

LuLaRoe products are produced basically for women and children and they include items such as

  • Women Products – Leggings, tops, skirts, dresses, etc.
  • Kids Products – Skirts, dresses, shirts, etc

LuLaRoe clothing can only be bought through their multi-level marketing system. When you purchase their items of clothing in wholesale from the company, you can then resell. Its products are mainly shirts, leggings, and dresses. The company deals with items of clothing which show modesty.

Several ladies love quality over quantity, the company in 2016 began receiving reports that the quality of their clothing items are not up to standard. This was probably one reason why Better Business Bureau downgraded the company’s quality rating to F. notwithstanding, there are still a lot of women who love the LuLaRoe products. While some buy the clothing as retailers, others buy them as wholesalers and enjoy retirement benefits and every other compensation plan it offers to its distributor.

is lularoe a pyramid scheme

The popularity of LuLaRoe literally boomed in 2016 but during this year 2017, it has been doing down because of several issues.

Getting Started with LuLaRoe

To become a fashion consultant with LuLaRoe, you will need an initial start-up cost of $5,000-$6,000. Before you join this program, you need a substantial amount of money and you need to be ready to purchase this clothes in bulk. It does not have an online shop where you can do affiliate marketing.

If you choose to join the program you are all on your own when it comes to marketing your product. It is an MLM program, which means it is a Pay to Play. You have to pay the initial startup before you get any product from the company.

LuLaRoe packages

According to research, the LuLaRoe inventory packages go for

  • 1st Package – $4,812 in total for 336 pieces
  • 2nd Package – $5,365 in total for 365 pieces.
  • 3rd Package – $6,784 for in total463 pieces

Unlike other MLM programs, in LuLaRoe you can not just go to their office and buy the products whenever you like even if a customer urgently needs it. You first have to buy a package and the items included in that package is what you sell. Before you choose to join, you need to know that you do not choose the patterns, colors, size or style of your inventory. You may end up with items which you cannot sell because of the wrong size and other basic dimensions.

The initial investments of a LuLaRoe program are huge compared to other MLMs. In addition, you need to buy 33 new pieces of clothing every single month to remain an active distributor.

You can imagine how much time and effort it will take to manage your LuLaRoe inventory. Wouldn’t it be just easier to promote products on some online store like Amazon? If you want to learn how to do it, just follow this step-by-step training.

I am making a living online even though I never even see the products. I just leave links all around the Internet and I make commissions when people buy through my links. Sometimes I have even forgotten the link but then I receive an email, “You just earned $130 commission!” I think it’s much easier than managing a LuLaRoe store. What do you think?

LuLaRoe Compensation Plan

First, I would like to show you a video where a LuLaRoe retailer explains how their system works:

As a newbie to how to make money from home, you may be anxious on how fast you will stay receiving your commission. But put first things, first. You need to know the different compensation plans and how much you earn for every sale.

LuLaRoe compensation plans do not depend on the inventory package you bought. The compensation plan rather depends on your recruitment level and your sales.

  • Fashion Consultant: When you join the LuLaRoe, you first start as a fashion consultant. You are required to sell a minimum of 33 pieces of the inventory you registered with. At the end of any sale, you get around 40-50% commission for every product sold by you.

  • Sponsors: To earn any commission at this level, one must sell at a minimum, 175 pieces of their products in a one month. You earn an extra 5% commission on the gross sales made by your personally recruited distributors.

  • Trainer: At this level, you are expected to have downlines, you can only earn a commission when your downlines are able to sell a minimum order level of I,750 pieces per month. The number of fashion consultants in your downlines should be up to 10 and you have to be active on your own part to achieve this. Each of your downlines should be able to sell 175 pieces in one single month.

  • Coach: to attain this level, your recruits should have become trainers. At least a minimum of 3 of your downlines should have attained the trainer level. Once you have achieved all these, you stand to earn 1% on the sales of those you have coached.

All in all, making big money with any MLM-opportunity requires lots of recruiting. If you only sell products yourself, you won’t be earning passive income which is, in my opinion, the most interesting form of income.

LuLaRoe Business Opportunity – What About the Competition?

I think that joining LuLaRoe has been a more interesting opportunity a few years ago. All the time the competition is becoming tougher in the US as you can see in the picture below.

is lularoe a pyramid scheme

All these LuLaRoe distributors are competing with you in the US.

Of course, this is a good thing for the CEO and founder of LuLaRoe because they are making huge profits for all sales in total. But for you as a retailer, it’s a thing that can significantly affect your sales.

LuLaRoe is still a relatively new company because they have been only 5 years in the business. Many retailers say that they are still making “baby mistakes” and they have tons of things to improve. In my opinion, this is an important thing for you to consider if you are thinking whether or not to join their program.

Before joining any MLM program, it is always good to check out what other people are saying about it. After carefully reading what other blogs and customers said about it, we were able to pick up few positive and negative points.

LuLaRoe Positive Reviews

Customers felt that the clothes were comfortable but made with inferior materials. Several Women loved the idea of having to shop and earn while at home. And they have the freedom to market their clothes using any marketing platform.

is lularoe a pyramid scheme

LuLaRoe Negative Reviews

Negative reviews were also given by people who thought the wait to become a fashion consultant was quite lengthy. Seeing as their office is in the United States, most customers were surprised to see a made in China tag.

Also, the cost per cloth was too pricey and the limitation to which retailing store to use like eBay, Amazon which is not allowed. Going clearly by what this program offers, the positive of joining the program is more than the negatives.

is lularoe a pyramid scheme

Many LuLaRoe members have reported about the low support like you can see in the image above. It seems that after the rapid growth, the quality of their support team has significantly gone done.

Many members say that you are on your own with the business. That’s why you’ll need to have a strong commitment mental dedication. Of course, a good upline member can help if you have a good person there.

However, the fact is that you need be able to put in lots of work. Otherwise, you can’t succeed with this kind of business. My suggestion is that you shouldn’t be afraid of +60-hour work weeks if you want to succeed with LuLaRoe.

Conclusion – Is LuLaRoe Worth It?

My sincere advice to you is that if you don’t have a burning passion for LuLaRoe products and having your home inventory, don’t start this program. There are many better opportunities to make a living by selling clothes with a smaller amount of work.

Tim Ferriss’ book 4-hour work week described some examples how his friend made big income online with little efforts by selling unique t-shirts.

LuLaRoe isn’t a pyramid scheme because they are offering real products and they don’t solely rely on recruiting. However, in any MLM-program recruiting plays a big role and you need to be ready to sell the program also for other people.

Then there is a possibility called affiliate marketing. You just promote other people’s products on your website, blog or social media channels and earn sales for each commission. Based on my and other people’s experience the start can be slow but then your business will grow like a snowball and the scalability is limitless. You can make $10,000 per month or even much more if you become successful.

This step-by-step training will teach you every step you need to make a full-time income online. In addition, you’ll get a 1-on-1 support and mentoring from me when you sign up through my website. It’s completely free to get started so you don’t have anything to lose but everything to win.

What do you think about LuLaRoe business opportunity?

Would you prefer selling products online like I do so you never need to so the shipping and handling?

Is Legal Shield a Ponzi Scheme? I Was Really Surprised!

“Imagine the world where anyone could access an attorney about any legal issue. Now imagine the world where everyone can afford to do it. That’s the world we are living in with Legal Shield.” That’s how the marketing video of Legal Shield starts. It sounds like a great idea but in this review, we are going to take a look behind the curtains.

Then comes their other marketing video. Legal Shield associate Brain Carruthers is driving around with brand-new cars and has another Ferrari waiting in his garage. He lives in a huge mansion in a beautiful place and lets us understand, “This is possible for you as well if you join Legal Shield.”

The old wisdom says, “All that glitters is not gold.” Is that the case with this company as well? Is Legal Shield a pyramid scheme? I saw some people also asking online, “Is Legal Shield a Ponzi scheme?”

You will find answers to all your questions within the next 2-3 minutes by reading this article. Afterward, you can leave me a comment or a question below and I’ll be happy to respond all of them personally.

Legal Shield Review

Name: Legal Shield

Founded:  In 1976 with a name Pre-Paid Legal Services. The name changed in 2011.

Type: Multi-level Marketing

Short Review: Legal Shield is an extremely controversial system. Some people love it while hundreds of people would never use it again. I would personally stay away from this kind of systems and concentrate my time and effort on something else.

I make a living online by using this program and I bet it would help you as well. (No recruiting, no complicated compensation plans, no credit cards required.)

Ferrari and two other brand-new cars. Is this what you’ll really get with Legal Shield? (The picture was taken from their marketing video.)

What is Legal Shield?

Started more than 40 years ago, LegalShield claims to provide affordable attorney access and legal services to clients spread across 49 United States and four Canadian provinces. So, Legal Shield is only available for USA and Canada based individuals.

Legal Shield is among one of the oldest multi-level marketing companies in the United States. This company started offering its services to the public back in 1984, almost a decade after it was founded. Most old MLM-programs like Herbalife, Amway, Avon, and others concentrate in a totally different field than Legal Shield so it’s quite unique. It’s obvious that it’s not a Ponzi scheme.

LegalShield was later acquired by MidOcean Partners in 2011. The idea behind LegalShield is that a customer pays monthly fees (starting from ~$20/month) to cover themselves in case they ever need legal help at some point in their lives. All Legal Shield services are provided on a prepaid basis. These services are available for small businesses as well as individuals along with identity theft protection and many other products.

At this point, you may think like, “Awesome! I will have my very own attorney available if I just pay $20 per month. How great is that!” But please, read until the end of this article to find the true nature of this system.

Legal Shield Products – Monthly Fees + Extra Costs

In this section I’ll explain how Legal Shield products are marketed to you. Further I’ll tell you the real customer experiences about them.

If you wish to get started with this company, you’ll need to get into an associate base level which requires an individual to pay a $149 cost. This money will get you a “business in a box” kit as well as some training. According to a study conducted, more than 57 million Americans have some ongoing legal issue and nearly 60% of all businesses face some legal issues at one point or another. Legal Shield Plans include:

Personal Plans

  • Pre-paid pricing is $19.95 per month and consists of the following services:
  • Consultation: Document reviews, phone calls and letters, and trial defense
  • Document Preparation: the Power of attorney, loan documents, wills, etc.
  • Family Matters: Divorce and adoption representation, Name change assistance, and so much more
  • IRS: Assists in audit services
  • Auto: Assists in traffic violations and accidents

You can also pay $17.95/ month for the individual plan which features Trial defense, legal document review, legal advice/ counsel, phone calls and letters made on your behalf, and coverage for single adults without dependents.

Nowadays Legal Shield has also a mobile app.

Small Business Plans:

This plan includes legal consultations regarding contract reviews, debt collection, landlord & tenant disputes, trial defense services, etc. Whether you select this service as a business or an individual, you’ll be provided a team of hand-picked providers who are paid in advance for their services. These vendors are hired by Legal Shield. These plans are customized based on your business needs, and thus prices vary.

Based on the information provided on their website, a client needs to follow the below-mentioned processes if they want to have access to LegalShield services:

Step 1: Sign up for a Legal Shield account
Step 2: Review your membership package. The package is inclusive of your legal provider’s information
Step 3: Navigate to the Member’s website and sign up
Step 4: Contact your provider’s law firm when you stumbled onto any legal problems
Step 5: LegalShield will then assign a lawyer best suited to your specific needs
Step 6: Within eight hours of your request, you’ll receive a call from your attorney.

Keep in mind that if you miss your lawyer’s call within the 8-hour mark, you’ll have to re-contact the law firm and you’ll have to wait another 8 hours to get a callback.

is legal shield a ponzi scheme

Legal Shield offers various services but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. You won’t get all services for a cheap price like they want you to believe.

Identity Theft Plan

ID Plan: This plan covers both you and your spouse. Services include single credit monitoring and restoration services and unlimited consultation. ID Plan pricing is $14.95 per month.

ID Premium: Includes ID Plan services plus web watch, triple credit monitoring, SS number skip trace, and more. ID Premium costs $29.95 per month.

Legal Shield Compensation Plan

Here is a video created by Legal Shield associates that explains their compensation plan. The video is highly promotional and is added here so you can understand how they market the system and how their compensation plan works.

There are a few ways one can earn money with this company as a representative. You can make money by selling their legal packages. Here, an agent is paid whatever the membership is worth each month in advance for the first year. For example; if you sell $80 per month package, you’ll receive a relevant monthly commission on that package-plan x 12 upfront.

NOTE: If a customer cancels, the money will be taken back from you. A representative can also make monthly residual commissions once a client has gone past 12 months. You can also earn an income on your downlines efforts according to what basic level you are on within the company. From what we can tell, there are seven different compensation plan levels.

There’s not much information regarding what a representative needs to do to stay qualified as an associate. But we did find a review which stated that you need three sales per quarter if you want to maintain your level. If not, you risk losing your entire downline. If you don’t manage to make three sales per quarter, you can buy their products yourself. (Which can become quite expensive for you in the long run.)

The real potential for earning money is by recruiting hundreds of new members. It allows you to earn passive income. But I know that recruiting isn’t interesting for everyone.

Keep in mind that Legal Shield hasn’t published their income disclosure statement like most other MLM-companies do. You won’t know what their representatives really earn as this information is not available. Why are they hiding this information? Most of their associates probably spend way more money than they earn within the system so income disclosure wouldn’t look very good.

Legal Shield Reviews and Complaints

Legal Shield has tons of complaints on the Internet most of which are centered on issues with their services/products. If you have googled Legal-Shield online, then we are confident that you have stumbled on negative reviews with the majority citing poor customer service, unqualified lawyers, complicated contact procedures, problems with canceling the membership, and high hidden costs.

There are literally hundreds of negative reviews of Legal Shield on the Internet. On the other hand, some customers have enjoyed their services for years.

Just like any other lawyer you retain, you get what you pay for. Since their prices are so low, do not expect help as you would from knowledgeable and highly rated firms. Another thing we have noticed is how negatively their customer service is rated.

There are tons of negative comments where past customers attest to having difficulties when they tried to cancel the plan. The professionals are also said to not care too much about solving your problems.

Let me show a few examples:

is legal shield a ponzi scheme

Virginia had a negative experience with Legal Shield. She lost lots of money with this company.

is legal shield a ponzi scheme

Peter lost $2,688 with Legal Shield without getting the help he would need.

To be fair for the company, I want to show you also some positive reviews:

is legal shield a ponzi scheme

Donald H. has enjoyed Legal Shield already for 25 years.

is legal shield a pyramid scheme

Wil D. had positive experiences as well.

Notice that when somebody has been a member for 15-25 he has paid thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars for the company over the years. We are not talking about a cheap service here.

Conclusion – Is Legal Shield a Scam?

Many former Legal Shield customers and representatives claim that it’s a scam. They had many negative experiences with the support. They paid expensive monthly fees and starting packages but never got the help they wanted.

First of all, Legal Shield is not an illegal pyramid scheme. They put a great emphasis on recruiting like any other MLM-system does but they also have a real product which is their attorney service. However, the fact that their system is legal doesn’t mean that you and I should join the system right away.

In my opinion, their advertising is very misleading. They let you understand that joining their MLM-system and buying attorney services would be cheap. At the same time, they show you new Ferrari and big mansion saying, “This could be your life. Join us!!”

The reality is that more than 97% of network marketers never make even the money back that they spend on the products. Only less than 0,1% of all those marketers will be able to buy that big mansion. And around 0,01% (one in ten thousand) will be able to buy that mansion and Ferrari.

I am not saying that it would be impossible to make money with Legal Shield. You can definitely succeed but it requires a huge work, tons of recruiting and selling. I am not a huge fan of this kind of MLM-programs. In addition, numerous complaints of Legal Shield customer support make it quite suspicious.

I have shown what I think about this system but after all the choice is yours.

In the end, I would like to offer you an alternative way to earn a living. I make living by promoting other people’s products online and have a freedom to travel around the world. I am not a part of any MLM-scheme and I don’t need to recruit other people. If you want to learn to make a living online like I do, have a look at this step-by-step training for free.

Is Rodan and Fields a Pyramid Scheme? – Skincare for Ladies

There is one thing that I know for sure. Rodan And Fields distributors are making juicy profits by selling their products to you.

Are you interested in earning those juicy profits as well? Are you wondering Rodan And Fields is a pyramid scheme or a legitimate business? Is it worth joining or not.

Thank you for coming here and checking out our review. You are doing right by researching the opportunity before joining it. My intention is to answer all your questions in this article regarding Rodan and Fields. However, if you have any questions afterward, feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll be happy to help you out.

Let’s get started.

Rodan and Fields Review

Name: Rodan and Fields

Founded: In 2002 by Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields

Type: Multi-Level Marketing. Skincare Products.

Short Review: Rodan and Fields is an honest MLM-business company which has been around already for years. Many clients love their products while other people got problems after using them. That’s why their products are quite controversial.

Their system is a typical MLM with big commissions, downlines, and home parties. It’s definitely not a pyramid scheme but not the most intriguing opportunity either.

If you are passionate about skincare and building a business I would rather choose this opportunity. You can get started even without any former experience for completely free.

is rodan and fields a pyramid scheme

Rodan + Fields has a simplistic and a clear website.

What Is Rodan and Fields?

Rodan + Fields is a multi-level marketing company that sells various skincare products. It was created back in 2002 by two doctors Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields. They first started out with a “normal business model” selling their products in departmental stores but turned the business into MLM in 2008.

They probably saw huge opportunities of network marketing. There are thousands of MLM-systems targeted for women just like Rodan + Fields. Women love relationships and having this kind of a business model helps to associate with other like-minded ladies. You have probably heard of companies like Mary Kay, Thirty-One Gifts, Perfectly Posh and many others.

Rodan + Fields is a bit different because it’s targeted to a smaller niche than those other ones. Even though skincare is a big industry, many MLMs have products from skincare, makeup, jewelry and so on. Who knows if Rodan + Fields will also expand to those categories in the future?

Anyhow, let’s have a closer look at their current products and a business opportunity.

Rodan and Fields Products – Clean Branding

Rodan + Fields products are concentrated on a body and skin care. They have a bright white color and are branded to look clean. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields like to represent themselves as doctors and authorities who are experts in skin care. That’s probably one reason why they are asking for a high price.

Anyhow, let’s have a look at a few example products. We naturally can’t go through all of them but you can dive deeper in their website or on Amazon where you can also read thousands of customer reviews about their product.

Their products are divided into 6 categories that are called:

  • Redefine
  • Reverse
  • Unblemish
  • Soothe
  • Essentials
  • Enhancements
is rodan and fields a pyramid scheme

Soothie is one of their product groups

Their products are pretty expensive if you compare to their counterparts in the supermarket. You may end up paying 3-10 times more for Rodan + Fields skincare products than similar bottles in the supermarket. Let me show you a few examples.

is rodan and fields a pyramid scheme

Rodan and Fields Reverse Products

Rodan + Fields likes selling products in bigger packages like you see in the picture below. It makes them more profit for each sale and gives you also the feeling of saving money when you buy many products at the same time.

A few skincare tubes cost $200-300. Isn’t that pretty expensive?

I just bought a regular skincare product from a supermarket for $5 which is also a famous brand and “tested in a laboratory” as they like to put it. However, I know many ladies who don’t worry about the price tag so much. For them, Rodan and Fields products could fit better.

So, what about making money with them? If their products are so expensive and people still like to buy them, wouldn’t you make quite a good profit? That’s right. Let’s have a look how it works.

Rodan and Fields Compensation Plan

Now I want to give an opportunity to Rodan and Fields expert to represent their compensation plan. This lady has been involved with this business for a long time so she knows what she’s talking about.  Her way of presenting facts is also interesting.

Note: The video promotes Rodan + Fields. It’s here just for educational purposes.

If you prefer reading instead of watching you can have a look at their compensation plan on Rodan + Fields official website. In my opinion, the commissions are quite good. If you can successfully sell lots of their products or recruit many new distributors into the system, you can make good money.

But is it so easy? Let’ have a look.

Success with Rodan + Fields? – Is It Easy?

is rodan and fields a pyramid scheme

Rodan + Fields likes to advertise the opportunity of becoming your own boss.

How would it feel to be your own boss? Would you like to be your own CEO? These are the questions that many MLM-systems love to ask you.

Well, I know from my own experience how it feels. You have a sense of freedom but you also need lots of discipline to get the work done. If you start working at 11 am and stop at 3 pm, you can forget about success.

Of course, you can make big money online, just by working a few hours a day, but it requires months and even years to break through. If you work, for example, 8 hours a day, you can succeed much faster. The same goes with Rodan + Fields.

If you want to succeed with their system, you need to work hard and smart. There’s no easy way around. In addition, you’ll definitely find many people like myself who are scared of a high price tag. You need to find the right target group. It could look something like this:

  • Ladies who are financially at least upper middle class and are willing to pay for their skincare.

If you are looking for new distributors, it’s better to find driven and business-oriented women who are willing to work their butt off. Success by having your own business comes for those who are willing to do the work. That’s also the reason why 95% of network marketers fail and quit. They are just looking for fun parties and easy way to earn money. That’s not the reality. That’s a fantasy.

If you want to maximize your success with MLM-business, I recommend taking a closer look at this free training. It’s not a MLM-program but it’s a training how you can promote your products online for thousands and even for millions of people for free. I know from my own experience that it works.

Rodan and Fields Reviews & Complaints

Now we come to an interesting part. Some days ago we took a look at another MLM-opportunity called Norwex. Despite high prices, people were loving their products and gave almost always 5 stars out of 5. I was expecting the same with Rodan + Fields but this was a different case.

Some people definitely enjoy using their products and say they are the best ones in the world. They are usually the ladies who are already Rodan + Fields distributors. But then there is a group that got skin problems after using them. I was really surprised to find those complaints.

Somebody said, “It caused hyperpigmentation (dark spots)” and the other one explained how her skins looked worse afterwards.

I don’t know whether those were just individual cases but based on my research the products have been pretty controversial. Some people love them but other ones get problems.

It seems that Rodan + Fields products aren’t suitable for all skin types. That brings also a challenge for those who want to make money with their system. Skin problems that were affected by R+F products bring us to a big question.

Conclusion – Is Rodan and Fields a Scam?

My answer is clear. No, R+F is not a scam nor a pyramid scheme. Their products just don’t work for all and you need to be aware of that. Personally, I prefer buying a $5 cream from a supermarket than a $200 cream from a R+F distributor.

A great thing with skincare products is of course that they last longer. If you buy a package, it can last for months or even a year if you don’t use it often.

Is R+F worth joining? In my personal opinion, it’s not the best opportunity out there. For sure, you can make good money with their system but it requires lots of hard work. Your target audience is very targeted so you would need to have the creativity to reach proper clients.

If you just rely on your friends and family members, that’s not a good idea. My recommendation is building a niche website (for free) with my instructions and getting targeted traffic from Google and other search engines. That’s how I make a living online.

If you would also earn a living online like I do, I can offer you this training for free. I’ll offer you my 1-on-1 support inside the community. It’s not a MLM-system nor a get rich scheme but the skills you learn can definitely make you a good living. Then you can have lots of freedom like I have.

At the moment I’m living in Austria but I’m moving to Bulgaria in a few months, planning to move to Greece after that and maybe afterward go traveling to Asia. That kind of freedom you’ll get when you learn to earn money online ;).

What do you think Rodan and Fields as a business opportunity?

Are their products overpriced in your opinion?
